This book evolved from when I was given the task of teaching recorder to all students, in a school, from grades three to six, the majority of whom had no desire to learn to play the instrument. By putting the basic pieces to a Techno/Dance beat I found that almost every student suddenly wanted to play.  So I added more difficult pieces to create this book of music for  all recorder players.
Pages 4 to 11 are suitable to use as a beginners' course and each new note is illustrated on the relevant page. 
It is assumed that students playing pieces from page 12 onwards will have more experience and finger positions for those notes not known are at the rear of the book.
As students should experience  a wide variety of musical styles Tecknowreck should be used in conjunction with a recognised course which introduces the student to various types of music.
